Our very own Ben and Emily have been recognized as Newsmakers of 2011 by GeekWire! Cheezburger has grown leaps and bounds since our humble days renting an office inside someone else’s office, and this year has been a big one for us. We’ve raised 30 million in investor money, joined forces with Know Your Meme, released new books, launched Cheezburger Sites, and are working on so many new things to come.

Well deserved recognition! I have a personal proud since I live in this state, that your home base is in Seattle. Your contributons to that great city enhances it’s reputation as always forward looking, but never taking itself too seriously. You have made a difference from the individual cheez peep level whose day is made brighter by the site to a higher level of a growing company making a name for itself nationally and now internationally.
