We know how much you like to be prepared for the week ahead, so we’ve decided to brighten your Monday with a few interesting events that are coming up this week.

As you may (or may not) be aware, tomorrow is National Cheeseburger Day! And yes, that is a big deal around here—even though the officials obviously misspelled the name of our favorite treat. Celebrate the day with a burger from your favorite joint; it looks like a lot of places around the nation are having specials to celebrate this important day!

And even better, September 19 is Talk Like a Pirate Day! That IS a real thing, and it even has a long and sordid history stretching back to 1995 when two friends discovered the allure and danger of talking like scrappy men with peg legs, eye patches and scraggly beards! Learn about the history of this epic holiday here, and engage in your own “ARRRRRR”s and “Ahoy”s!

It’s also an amazing week for music, with Dinosaur Jr. releasing a new album entitled “I Bet on Sky”, The Sea and Cake releasing “Runner” and Grizzly Bear releasing their latest album “Shields”. A good week to swing by your local record store and indulge in some fantastic new tunes.
And for you Parks and Recreation fans, this Thursday is the season premiere complete with the usual hilarity and special guests…excited much?
